The Town of Brookhaven's Building Division will begin extended hours on Monday nights starting on August 12 to provide greater accessibility for residents. It will be open from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
"We are excited to offer this new expanded service to our residents and community," Panico said in a Town of Brookhaven news release. "By extending our hours, we aim to make it easier for residents to engage with the Building Division and ensure their needs are met in a timely manner."
According to the Town of Brookhaven news release, residents can discuss or submit applications during the extended hours. The new schedule offers services to residents who may find it difficult to visit during the day.
The new hours complement the Town Clerk's extended hours, which run from 5 to 7 p.m., according to the same news release.
