Brentwood Union Free School District had the highest enrollment among Suffolk County school districts, welcoming 18,598 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were Hispanic, making up 86.9% of Brentwood Union Free School District's total enrollment.

Among the 69 districts in Suffolk County, Sachem Central School District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 11,954 students, while William Floyd Union Free School District welcomed 9,545 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.
