The William Floyd Board of Education recently recognized members of Century 21 Cor-Ace Realty for their role in organizing the annual William Floyd Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. Since its inception, this event has raised and donated over $625,000 in scholarships to deserving graduating seniors from William Floyd.
During the September 10 Board of Education meeting, a plaque was presented to Anthony Alfano, Anthony Coraci, Anthony Liberti, Barbara Liberti, Al Walter, and Gina Walter. The plaque read: “In grateful appreciation for helping William Floyd students achieve their dreams by providing more than $625,000 in scholarships to deserving graduates over the past 26 years! Thank you for your generosity and commitment to our students and community!”
The presentation highlighted the long-term impact of the golf tournament on the community. Board trustees Kevin Meyer, Jennifer Heitman, April Coppola (president), Lorraine Mentz, Robert Taiani (vice president), Angelo Cassarino, and superintendent of schools Kevin Coster were present at the event.
