Due to anticipated weather conditions, the William Floyd School District has announced a two-hour delay for Thursday, February 6. This delay applies to all schools within the district, including the Floyd Academy.

Students who use bus transportation should plan to arrive at their bus stops two hours later than usual. Those who are dropped off or drive themselves should also adjust their schedules accordingly. Upon arrival, high school and middle school students will proceed directly to their first period class with shortened periods ensuring all classes are attended. Meals will be provided as normal, and schools will dismiss at their regular times.

After-school activities are expected to proceed as scheduled, though it is advised to confirm with your child's coach or advisor regarding specific programs. All before-school activities and clubs are canceled for the day.

Parents of UPK students should check directly with their child's teacher or provider for specific scheduling information as these programs operate on a different schedule.

The William Floyd High School Equivalency Program (GED) and Occupational Education programs at Milliken Technical Center and Bixhorn Technical Center are canceled for the day. Students in these programs should expect bus service beginning at 10:15 am for an 11:15 am arrival at the high school.

Floyd Academy Interim Placement will continue as normal. The community will be informed promptly if there are any further changes, such as a full closure instead of a delayed opening.
