Three members of the William Floyd High School Acabellas performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" at a Suffolk County Legislature meeting on February 4. The vocalists, Aisling Aylward, Aisha Barrie, and Ashlyn Manion, were accompanied by music educator Michelle Seifert. Legislator Jim Mazzarella extended the invitation for this performance.

Aisling Aylward is a senior involved in the school's Youth and Government program and will receive an AP Capstone Diploma. She has participated in several New York music festivals and serves as vice president of The Acabellas. She plans to pursue a medical degree.

Aisha Barrie is also a senior who has been active in music for eight years. She attended the All-State Conference and is president of The Acabellas. Her future plans include studying actuarial science.

Ashlyn Manion has been part of the school's music program since fourth grade and has participated in various festivals. She was nominated for a Teeny Award last school year and holds positions as public relations officer and librarian for The Acabellas.
