Brentwood man indicted for fleeing fatal crash scene involving motorcyclist
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the indictment of Manuel Gomez, 46, of Brentwood, for allegedly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash that resulted in the death of Andres Eloy Khammach La Cruz, 31, also of Brentwood. Gomez faces charges including Leaving the Scene of an Incident Without Reporting and operating a motor vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended.

School bus driver indicted on charges related to child sex abuse material
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced today that Guenther Mayrhofer, 71, of Mastic Beach, a bus driver for the William Floyd School District, has been indicted on charges of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child. Mayrhofer is accused of downloading images and videos of child sexual abuse and uploading them to his cloud storage account.

Wyandanch man indicted for attempted murder outside Jake's 58 Casino
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced today that Nashawn Legros, 24, of Wyandanch, has been indicted for attempted murder, assault, and other related charges. Legros is accused of shooting a male twice in the parking lot of Jake’s 58 Casino in Islandia, resulting in serious physical injuries to the victim.
