Suffolk County issued the following announcement on July 25.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on July 25, 2020. Last updated July 24, 2020

Total Persons Tested

  • 443,297 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 5,594 tests
  • 9.7 percent of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 0.9 percent of those tested on Long Island in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
  • 0.9 percent of those tested in Suffolk County in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 42,822 total cases
  • 49 new cases
Antibody Testing

  • 213,037 total tested for antibodies
  • 22,820 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
Fatalities

  • 1 fatality
  • 1,996 total fatalities
Hospitalization, numbers from July 24, updated July 25 at 4:30 p.m.

  • 41 individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 5
  • 13 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), unchanged
  • 7 new admissions
  • 8 discharged
  • 5,583 discharged since March 22
Hospital Capacity

  • 3022 hospital beds, 797 available, 26 percent
  • 396 ICU beds, 123 available, 31 percent
