SUFFOLK COUNTY: COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - November 1, 2020, 4:30 p.m.

Suffolk County issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on November 1, 2020. Last updated October 31, 2020 

  • 1,097,274 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 10,200 tests  
  • 4.5 percent of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 1.4 percent of those tested on Long Island in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
  • 1.4  percent of those tested in Suffolk County in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 49,538 total cases
  • 142 new cases
Antibody Testing

  • 285,523 total were tested for antibodies
  • 30,056 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
Fatalities

  • 1 fatality
  • 2021 total fatalities
Hospitalization data from October 30, 2020

  • 40  individuals were hospitalized, a decrease of 5 in 24 hours
  • 6 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), an increase of 1 in 24 hours
  • 4 new admissions
  • 8 discharged
  • 6,065 discharged since March 22
Hospital Capacity

  • 2996 hospital beds, 878 available, 29 percent
  • 384 ICU beds 109 available, 28 percent
