SUFFOLK COUNTY: COVID-19 CASE UPDATE - November 7, 2020, 5:30 p.m.

Suffolk County issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.

Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 on November 7, 2020. Last updated November 6, 2020 

  • 1,151,244 COVID-19 tests have been administered, an addition of 10,353 tests  
  • 4.4 percent of those tested since March have been confirmed positive for COVID-19
  • 2.5 percent of those tested on Long Island in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
  • 2.5  percent of those tested in Suffolk County in the last reported 24-hour period tested positive for COVID-19
Tested Positive for COVID-19

  • 50,469 total cases
  • 259 new cases
Antibody Testing

  • 287,782 total were tested for antibodies
  • 30,246 individuals not previously tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for antibodies
Fatalities

  • 0 fatalities
  • 2022 total fatalities
Hospitalization data from November 6, 2020

  • 59 individuals were hospitalized, an increase of 2 in 24 hours
  • 10 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), no change in 24 hours
  • 9 new admissions
  • 8 discharged
  • 6,095 discharged since March 22
Hospital Capacity

  • 3,005 hospital beds, 826 available, 27 percent
  • 381 ICU beds 107 available, 28 percent
