Town of Babylon issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Councilman DuWayne Gregory, SC Legislator Jason Richberg and the Copiague Chamber of Commerce welcomed The Shack and its owner Brenda Mendoza with certificates and proclamations to the Downtown Copiague neighborhood at its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Supervisor Schaffer remarked that it was good to see someone who grew up in the Town of Babylon opening a business here and wished her great success.
The Shack offers nutritious and delicious shakes and lattes that can also serve as meal replacements as well as snacks and energetic teas. Surrounded by friends and family, Brenda talked about her own weight loss journey and explained her mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle. To help you reach your goals, exercise classes are also offered. Located on Great Neck Rd just across from the Copiague Train Station, The Shack opens at 6am.
