Town of Babylon issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.
Councilman DuWayne Gregory is happy to donate nearly 800 pairs of glasses and cases to our local Lions Club. Lions are known throughout the world for their work to improve the lives of the visually impaired and prevent avoidable blindness. Lions Club International Foundation proudly serves their continued efforts by offering unique and impactful initiatives, programs and grants.
Councilman Gregory’s office collects eyeglasses and cases on an ongoing basis. You may drop yours off in the Town Hall lobby between the hours of 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.
