While some were celebrating the unofficial start of summer, first responders in Suffolk County were focused on assisting those in need.
Members of the SCPD Aviation Section, a flight paramedic and members of the Ocean Beach Fire Department sprang into action Sunday when a woman was having difficulty breathing on Ocean Beach.
The woman was treated at the scene and airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital where she made a rapid recovery!
For more than 30 years, paramedics from Stony Brook University Hospital have flown in SCPD helicopters to deliver 24-hour Advanced Life Support to patients.
