The Suffolk County Police Department needs your help.
If you believe an individual has tried to enter your vehicle in an attempt to steal property, we need you to report the incident to police. The department is also seeking video from residents who have video of these would-be thieves. While a crime may not have been committed, the department actively tracks this type of activity and adjusts resources accordingly.
As a reminder, we encourage all residents to ensure their vehicle’s doors are locked and property out of sight. If you see anyone acting suspiciously in your neighborhood, call 911.
