The Central Islip High School Legal Eagles, under the leadership of co-advisors Ms. Harrington and Ms. Alvarez, participate in the New York State Bar Association Mock Trial Competition each year.
Students work on civil or criminal cases and learn about the law, the legal system and court procedures.
When advocating, students use the law as a tool for the analysis of several legal situations. Through this, they also learn appropriate courtroom decorum.
