Students from various high schools across Long Island’s East End had the opportunity to sell their products and network with other Virtual Enterprise students, administrators, teachers, and business professionals. 

Over the past few years, the Virtual Enterprise course has become very popular at Comsewogue High School. In the class, students have the chance to run their own virtual business. Students gain real world experience, and assume professional roles within their own Management, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, IT, and Design departments. As part of the course, students become leaders and continuously develop in demand skills that are needed to find success in life after high school. 

Virtual Enterprise is also the capstone course for Comsewogue High School’s new Business Academy. As part of the Academy, students have the opportunity to essentially “major” in business while in high school. The program was recently approved as a CTE pathway by NYS, and graduates are eligible to earn CTE distinction on their diplomas. 

The Virtual Enterprise students are currently working on their Business Plan presentations as they prepare for another Trade Show and Competition at Long Island University next week.
