Assemblyman Ed Flood (R,C-Port Jefferson) joined community members and local officials in Port Jefferson for the first annual Arbor Day Celebration. This event marks the beginning of a beautiful tradition that will see trees planted in Port Jefferson every year on the final Friday in April. "I am honored to have been invited by the Tree Committee to this monumental event for Port Jefferson. Planting trees in our community is something that can be appreciated for years to come. It is more than just an investment into our community, it is an investment into the next generation who will grow up with this great tradition in their town," said Flood.
