Suffolk County Community College announces fall open house on November 3

Faculty, administrators, staff, and current students at Suffolk County Community College will welcome new and prospective students to an open house on Sunday, November 3, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The event will be held at all three of the college’s campuses in Riverhead, Selden, and Brentwood, as well as its Culinary Arts and Hospitality Center in Riverhead.

College faculty and administrators will provide detailed information about Suffolk’s various degree and certificate programs. Admissions staff will assist students and parents with questions and the admissions process. Financial aid representatives will explain recent changes to FAFSA and discuss grants and loans. Additionally, visitors can learn about numerous scholarships available for Suffolk students.

The open house offers students the chance to interact with campus representatives who can provide educational and transitional services information for veterans.

“We look forward to welcoming students and their families as they learn about our academic programs and student support services,” said Joanne E. Braxton, Suffolk’s Dean of Enrollment Management. She added, “Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the campus with student guides who can answer questions."
