The Distinguished Administrator Awards recognize key contributors in the Administrative Support path for their outstanding service to Brookhaven National Laboratory. The 2023 recipients are Mary Campbell, Linda Hanlon, and Donna Pfeiffer.

Mary Campbell, from the Environment, Biology, Nuclear Science & Nonproliferation Directorate (EBNN), has had a remarkable 30-year career at the Lab. As a planning and logistics lead for the Quantum XLab event, she positioned Brookhaven as a leader in quantum research by adapting to a virtual platform during the pandemic. Her expertise in Zoom and Teams supports complex workshops like those for the BRaVE initiative. She mentors early-career professionals and promotes cross-training within EBNN. Her contributions extend to supporting United Way, organizing the Pet Calendar, and participating in the Adopt-a-Family donation program.

Linda Hanlon of the Energy & Photon Sciences Directorate has been with Brookhaven since 1979. Starting as a clerk typist, she progressed through various roles and played a pivotal role in the Nonproliferation and National Security Department before moving to her current directorate in 2011. She has also contributed significantly to community welfare through her work with the United Way Holiday Auction.

Donna Pfeiffer from Operational Support & Planning was recognized for her long tenure at Brookhaven. Since rejoining in 1998 after an initial stint in the 1970s, she has significantly contributed to projects like implementing the Guest Information System (GIS) and Foreign Visits and Assignments Program (FVA). Her efforts have also impacted environmental management and occupational safety programs at Brookhaven.
