Allyson Silver, who serves as the assistant vice president of operations for surgical services at Stony Brook Medicine, has been recognized on Becker’s Hospital Review’s annual list of notable perioperative service leaders for 2025. This list features 28 professionals from hospitals and health systems nationwide, credited with improving operating room productivity and enhancing teamwork among surgical staff, while addressing workforce challenges. Notably, Silver is the sole representative from Long Island on the list.

Stony Brook Medicine functions as the health-related arm of Stony Brook University, encompassing education, research, and patient care.
