Suffolk County authorities have charged four individuals in connection with a narcotics distribution network following a lengthy investigation. District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced that John Sims, Tyeisha Kisswani, Robert Day, and Adrian Spooner face charges including the criminal sale of controlled substances.
The investigation by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office Gang Task Force spanned from January to July 2024 and utilized various techniques such as undercover operations and surveillance. This effort uncovered a network allegedly distributing carfentanil, fentanyl, and cocaine throughout Suffolk County.
"Carfentanil is even more potent and more lethal than fentanyl," stated District Attorney Tierney. "The influx of this drug in Suffolk County is alarming."
Authorities executed multiple search warrants on August 28, 2024. At Sims and Kisswani's residence, detectives reportedly found drugs, weapons, cash, and drug paraphernalia.
John Sims faces several charges including conspiracy and possession of controlled substances. He remains in custody after being arraigned on September 30, 2024. If convicted on the top count, he could receive a sentence ranging from 12½ to 25 years.
Adrian Spooner was also charged with selling controlled substances. He posted bail after his arraignment on September 25, 2024 but could face up to 14 years if convicted.
Tyeisha Kisswani has been released without bail due to her charges being non-bail eligible under New York State law. She faces potential imprisonment of up to 25 years if found guilty on the top count.
Robert Day remains at large as of October 3, 2024. Authorities are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact local law enforcement or Crime Stoppers.
