The Flecker Gallery at Suffolk County Community College is set to present an exhibition featuring the works of artist Jeremiah Teipen. The exhibition will run from November 14 through December 17, 2024, showcasing an immersive installation that delves into the relationship between digital and physical realms.
An opening reception and gallery talk are scheduled for November 14 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., where Teipen will discuss his creative process and inspirations. "Light refreshments will be served," organizers noted, inviting all to engage in art and conversation.
Jeremiah Teipen, a Brooklyn-based visual artist, holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design. He has received awards such as a production grant from the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju and other grants from institutions like the Asian Cultural Council Japan/United States Grant.
Teipen's work has been displayed in national and international exhibitions, including venues like Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid and Queens Museum in New York. His art has also appeared in publications such as the Leonardo Journal of Arts and Sciences by The MIT Press.
The Flecker Gallery operates Monday through Thursday from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours by appointment.
