William Floyd Middle School recently organized its inaugural Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) kickoff event. The program aims to teach, encourage, and reward students who demonstrate respect, responsibility, and readiness to learn in all school environments.
Students from various grade levels attended a pep rally where student-athletes were acknowledged. They watched videos created by staff that outlined PBIS building expectations. To conclude the day, students chose from activities such as four-way volleyball, a bubble-filled running course, kickball, or an escape room adventure.
The faculty and staff at William Floyd Middle School put significant effort into planning and organizing the event. Students participated enthusiastically throughout the day, with mascot Billy Floyd making a guest appearance. The school is already anticipating next year’s PBIS kickoff.
