Dr. Apostolos Tassiopoulos, chair of the Stony Brook Department of Surgery, has announced the appointment of Dr. Huseyin Isildak as chief of the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ENT). Dr. Isildak had been serving as interim chief since June 2024.

Dr. Isildak is a professor of surgery at Stony Brook University and holds the positions of director of otology/neurotology and director of the Cochlear Implant Program. He became part of Stony Brook in August 2021 after working for eight years as the practicing director of otology/neurotology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
