Be Well Fest made a return for its second year, drawing over 400 students to engage with Student Health, Wellness, and Prevention Services. The event, held on September 17, aimed to help students take control of their physical and mental health in a fun environment.
This year's festival included a new feature: a flu pod hosted by CVS Pharmacy, which was well-received by attendees preparing for the flu season. Various departments offered activities such as tie-dying, rock painting, lawn games, and free ice cream. Students also toured the Student Health and Counseling Center to learn more about the services available.
The event extended into the afternoon with Wolfie joining to entertain students and staff. Feedback from participants has been positive, and anticipation is already building for next year's festivity.
“Be Well Fest is a special opportunity for us to come together and express our gratitude to our students for entrusting us with their well-being," stated Marisa Bisiani, associate vice president for Health, Wellness, and Prevention Services. "Each of us plays a unique and essential role in their lives, and it is a privilege to impact their journey positively."
Bisiani emphasized the importance of collaboration among departments like CAPS, SHS, CARE, RAW, SST, CPO, and SASC with students. “Moments like this truly highlight the strength and impact of our shared commitment," she added.
With an increased turnout compared to last year and plans already underway for next year’s event promising further expansion.
