The William Floyd School District has announced new guidelines for spectators attending indoor winter sports events at William Floyd High School. The district aims to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
To enter the building, all spectators must present a valid government-issued ID. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, non-driver ID, learner's permit, passport, government employee ID, United States Military ID, or a United States permanent resident card. Middle school students are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must have their school ID. High school students need to show their school ID and be in good standing.
Attendance is restricted to William Floyd students and those from opposing teams who can provide their school IDs. Students from neighboring districts not involved in the competition will not be allowed entry.
Spectators must adhere to the Section XI Code of Conduct; violations will result in immediate removal and possible bans from future events at William Floyd. Entry is on a first-come-first-served basis until maximum capacity is reached. No entry will be permitted after halftime, and exits after the third quarter are final.
Bags and backpacks brought into the venue are subject to search. All attendees are expected to remain in the stands during games and display behavior consistent with William Floyd High School's core values and code of conduct. Any form of profanity, verbal abuse, or violent behavior will lead to ejection from the premises and potential suspension from future games.
After games conclude, spectators must promptly exit through designated areas as directed by security staff. Entering the court during or after games is prohibited.
The district appreciates cooperation from attendees as they look forward to an exciting winter sports season.
