Congressman Nick LaLota, representing New York's 1st district, has been active on social media discussing recent legislative efforts and engagements. On December 6, 2024, he shared insights into his initiatives aimed at supporting small businesses and enhancing government efficiency.

On December 6, Congressman LaLota announced a significant development for small businesses with the introduction of the Prove It Act. According to LaLota, this legislation "cuts red tape, holds federal agencies accountable, and ensures regulations don’t stand in the way of Main Street’s success." He emphasized his commitment to "fighting for policies that empower small businesses and drive economic growth." The full post can be viewed here.

Later that day, LaLota highlighted his longstanding advocacy for government efficiency. He mentioned the passage of his bipartisan DOE and Small Business Administration Research Act in February. This bill is designed to foster collaboration between these agencies to advance joint research and development efforts. More details are available here.

In another update on December 6, Congressman LaLota expressed gratitude after reconnecting with his former Constitutional law professor Julian Ku. Professor Ku had testified at a hearing regarding China's suppression of history. LaLota appreciated "Professor Ku’s continued insights" following the testimony. The tweet can be accessed here.
