Kindergarten students at Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School experienced a festive surprise when Santa Claus visited, thanks to a collaboration with Toys for Tots. The event was organized with the support of school principal Dr. Heather Murillo, Student Council advisor Diane Catania, and the members of the Nathaniel Woodhull Student Council. As part of this initiative, each kindergarten student selected a toy to take home and had their photo taken with Santa.
In addition to providing toys for the students, Toys for Tots also donated gifts to children and families in need during the holiday season. This marks the third year that Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary has partnered with Toys for Tots to bring holiday cheer to its community.
Dr. Murillo expressed gratitude for the event: “Our school community is deeply grateful for the generosity shown through the Toys for Tots donations,” she said. “Their contributions brought joy and holiday cheer to our students, making this season brighter for many families! It is always such a joy to see the smiles on all of our kindergartners’ faces!”
The visit included appearances by assistant principal Erica Peralta and principal Dr. Heather Murillo alongside Santa Claus.
