The Chief's office has announced the passing of William Snak Jr., who served as a member of the Smithtown Fire Department Engine Company 1 for 17 years. Funeral services have been arranged in his honor.

The Branch Funeral Home, located at 190 E. Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787, will host all services. The viewing is scheduled for Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A Firematic Service will take place on Monday at 8 p.m., with members instructed to assemble at headquarters in Class A uniform by 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services are set for Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and will be held at St. Joseph's Church, located at 59 Church Street, Kings Park.
