A Selden man has been sentenced to 32 to 57 years in prison for sexually abusing three of his children over a period of thirteen years. The sentencing follows a jury conviction on charges including Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree.

Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney commented on the case, stating, "It is unconscionable that a father would subject his own children to years of such heinous acts of sexual violence. Our hearts go out to the victims for their bravery in coming forward after everything that they endured."

The trial revealed that between 1997 and 2010, the defendant abused his children, who were then aged between seven and 13. Fearful of being separated from their siblings, the children did not report the abuse until reaching adulthood.

The defendant was convicted on November 25, 2024, after a jury trial presided over by Acting Supreme Court Justice Karen M. Wilutis. He faced three counts of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree and one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.

Justice Wilutis handed down the sentence on January 7, 2025. In addition to serving time in prison, the defendant will be required to register as a sex offender. Legal representation for the defendant was provided by Ian Fitzgerald, Esq., and Chase Brown, Esq.
