William Floyd High School prepares for basketball playoff against Ward Melville

The William Floyd High School boys' varsity basketball team is set to host a Class AAA quarterfinal playoff game this Thursday, February 27, at 4:00 pm in the West Gym. The Colonials have achieved a successful season with a 17-3 overall record and an undefeated 12-0 record in League I, securing their third consecutive league title. Their aim is to make consecutive appearances in the Suffolk County Championship game and win a county championship. As the No. 3 seed, they will face No. 6 Ward Melville, who holds a 13-7 overall record and an 8-4 record in League II.

Admission for this round of the playoffs and beyond is managed by Section XI, with tickets priced at $8.35 each ($7 plus a $1.35 service fee). Children aged 12 and under can attend for free. Tickets can be purchased online or via QR codes available at the gate, as Section XI will not accept cash or checks.
