The Town of Brookhaven has concluded its 2025 Winter Coat Drive, with a collection of 1,567 coats along with hundreds of pairs of winter gloves, hats, and scarves. These items were donated by residents and will be distributed to churches, shelters, youth agencies, families, and veterans in need.

Supervisor Daniel J. Panico announced the results of the drive organized by the Brookhaven Town Youth Bureau’s INTERFACE Program. The coat drive took place from January 7 through February 7.

Josephine Lunde, the INTERFACE Coordinator for the Town of Brookhaven, was pictured checking in the donated winter clothing.

The Youth Bureau INTERFACE Program is a collaboration between individuals, corporate partners, and the Town itself to assist less fortunate residents. It aims to provide goods and services while addressing social issues within the community.

For further information about the INTERFACE Program or to contact the Brookhaven Youth Bureau, individuals can call 631-451-8011 or visit the town's website.
