Farmingville, NY - The Saint Jude Council 5814 Knights of Columbus has named Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Jane Bonner as the honoree for its 2025 Golf Outing. This announcement was made ahead of a press conference scheduled for April 24 at The Friary in Mount Sinai, New York.

Councilwoman Bonner is recognized as the first female recipient of this honor by the organization. The event is set to take place on July 15 at the Middle Island Country Club, with proceeds benefiting Hope House Ministries and other charities supported by the council.

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized by the Knights of Columbus, especially as their first female honoree,” said Councilwoman Bonner. “I’m proud to have Hope House Ministries as my charity of choice. Every day, Father Frank’s efforts are changing lives for the better and I look forward to seeing the positive impact this event will have on his mission.”

Father Frank Pizzarelli, director of Hope House Ministries, and Attorney Charlie Russo expressed gratitude towards Councilwoman Bonner's support. “The support from Councilwoman Bonner and that of the Knights of Columbus is invaluable to our mission,” said Father Frank. “Jane’s spirit and commitment to help makes a lasting difference to those we serve.”

The Saint Jude Council 5814 Knights of Columbus, under Grand Knight Doug Bauer and Deputy Grand Knight Bill Signoretti, along with the golf committee, are organizing this year's event. Grand Knight Bauer commented on the occasion: “This is a historic occasion for us, and we are thrilled to recognize Councilwoman Jane Bonner for her outstanding service and support of the organization.”

Founded in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal service organization focused on supporting local communities through charitable work. Hope House Ministries provides resources to individuals facing challenges such as homelessness and addiction.
