Town of East Hampton issued the following announcement on April 6.
The federal Centers for Disease Control recommends wearing cloth face coverings whenever venturing out in public, to slow the spread of coronavirus.
In order to preserve surgical masks and N-95 respirators, which are in short supply, for critical healthcare personnel, homemade cloth masks are recommended for the general public.
