Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio is spearheading a children's car seat drive in collaboration with St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, aimed at assisting families in need within the community. The initiative, set to run throughout the first three weeks of October, will culminate on Saturday, Oct. 21, with the distribution of the collected items commencing on Monday, Oct. 23. Giglio expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We’ve got numerous families throughout our community that have children to raise, but not enough can afford the safest seating for their children’s transportation in a car."

Father Larry Duncklee, the pastor of the parish, commended Assemblywoman Giglio for her support, encouraging individuals to contribute to the cause. Father Larry stated, “I encourage anyone to donate car seats they are not using to help save lives."

Donations of car seats can be made at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church located at 546 St. John’s Place, Riverhead, NY 11901. Drop-off times are scheduled throughout the week to facilitate the collection process.

Giglio concluded by emphasizing the significance of the initiative, saying, “This is a simple effort that will go a long way towards helping a child in need. I encourage anyone who is able to give generously."
