The Town of Brookhaven, collaborating with the Suffolk County Health Department, is organizing a series of free rabies vaccine clinics. These clinics will be available for dogs, cats, and ferrets at the Brookhaven Animal Shelter located at 300 Horseblock Road, Brookhaven, NY 11719. The clinics are scheduled on Saturdays: April 19, May 31, June 28, July 26, and August 23.
There is no need to make an appointment; pet owners can simply visit during the clinic hours. It is required that dogs are leashed while cats and ferrets should be in carriers.
A spokesperson for the event stated: "Keep your pets safe and your community healthy!" For any questions regarding the clinic or other services provided by the shelter, individuals can call (631) 451-6950 or visit BrookhavenNY.gov/AnimalShelter.
The Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center focuses on aiding homeless pets within the township. For those interested in adopting a pet, they can check available animals through the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter's adoption page.
