On March 27, 2025, Congressman LaLota expressed his support for USPS letter carriers, opposing the privatization of the postal service. He stated, "This weekend on Long Island and this week in D.C., I stood with USPS letter carriers against privatization. As the lead sponsor of H. Res. 70 and Chair of the RMSP Labor Caucus, I’m fighting to keep USPS public, reliable, and strong. Privatization won’t save taxpayers a dime."

Later that day, LaLota showed support for a colleague, Marc Molinaro, and his nomination to lead the Federal Transit Administration. He tweeted, "After votes today, I walked to the Senate to support my friend Marc Molinaro’s confirmation to lead the Federal Transit Administration.
