The Town of Brookhaven Women's Services Division is set to launch its Career EDGE Job Readiness series on October 29. This initiative aims to support unemployed and under-employed women by providing professional skills, career coaching, and networking opportunities in a supportive environment. The program will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Sachem Library in Holbrook, NY, with sessions scheduled for October 29, November 12, 19, 26, and December 3.

The Dress for Success Career EDGE program offers a seminar series designed specifically for women seeking employment. Participants will have the chance to engage with a network of professional women and business experts. The program is presented by Dress for Success Brookhaven at no cost to attendees.

In five weeks, participants can expect to enhance their job search knowledge and confidence. The series covers creating personal brands and marketing strategies, finding suitable job opportunities, building focused resumes, preparing for interviews, receiving one-on-one career coaching, experiencing professional suiting through Dress for Success, exploring networking tools like LinkedIn, and joining a community of women sharing similar journeys.

Interested individuals can register online at BrookhavenNY.gov/CareerEdge. For more information about the Career Edge Job Readiness series or registration details, contact Dress for Success Brookhaven via email at [email protected] or leave a message at 631-451-9127.
