On October 19, over 550 members of the Middle Country Youth Civic Association gathered for an early Halloween event at Brookhaven Town’s Centereach Pool. The event was attended by several local officials, including Town Councilman Neil A. Manzella, Town Clerk Kevin J. LaValle, NYS Senator Dean Murray, and Suffolk County Legislator Nick Caracappa.

Councilman Manzella creatively transformed his car trunk into a "Fix-it-Felix" Arcade theme, while Town Clerk LaValle portrayed "Daniel LaRusso" from the "Karate Kid" with his themed trunk. Both trunks were filled with treats for the young attendees.

The event featured dozens of car trunks turned into Halloween attractions. Town officials and their staff handed out candy and toys to children dressed in costumes. The gathering was described as one that “never disappoints” by Councilman Manzella and the Civic Association.
