Supervisor Dan Panico has announced that the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau INTERFACE program will host the Red Knights Motorcycle Club New York Chapter 26 Teddy Bear Run on November 24. This annual event is organized to collect new teddy bears for children in need within Brookhaven Town.

The event begins with registration at 10:30 am at Terryville Fire Department Station 1, located at 19 Jayne Blvd. in Port Jefferson. The motorcycle ride starts at noon and concludes with a lunch at Painters’ Restaurant, situated at 416 South Country Road in Brookhaven. Non-riders can join for lunch at Painters’ at 1:00 pm.

Participation fees are set at $25 or $30 without a teddy bear donation. The first 100 riders will receive a complimentary t-shirt. Donations can be dropped off either at Terryville Fire Department Station 1 or Painters'. For more information about the event or sponsorship opportunities, visit the Town website, call the Red Knights at 631-905-9802, or email [email protected].

The Teddy Bear Run is scheduled to take place "Rain or Shine." In case of bad weather, participants are asked to bring their teddy bear donations directly to Painters' by 1 pm.

The Town of Brookhaven INTERFACE program aims to provide various goods and services through volunteer efforts and contributions from community partners. The town acknowledges the hard work of volunteers and appreciates the generosity of residents who support these initiatives.
