Daniel Dongvort First Assistant Chief | Smithtown Fire Department
On Thursday, Smithtown's volunteer firefighters responded to a reported house fire on Plymouth Blvd. Assistant Chief Kelly, upon arrival, identified that the fire was confined to a shed at the rear of the residence. He instructed Engine 5 to extend a line to the backyard.
The crews quickly extinguished the fire with assistance from Engine 3, Engine 4, and Ladder 7. The operation was under the command of Chief of Department Diecidue. Joe Sperber provided photographs documenting the incident.
