Suffolk County Community College unveils spring 2025 theatre season lineup

The spring 2025 theatre season at Suffolk County Community College promises a diverse lineup of performances. The series, presented by The Theatres at Suffolk County Community College and The Lively Arts Series, features a variety of shows and events that will be held across the college's campuses.

The season kicks off with "Midnight at the Masquerade" on February 8 at the Van Nostrand Theatre, located in the Sagtikos Building on the Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood. This interactive murder mystery event invites attendees to help solve a crime that occurs during a masquerade ball.

On March 1, "Tyohaar," an original production by Surati, takes the stage at the same venue. This performance explores India's festivals through traditional dance, music, and drama.

Kenneth Lonergan's "Lobby Hero," directed by Steven Lantz-Gefroh, runs from March 6 to March 16 at Theatre 119 in the Islip Arts Building on the Ammerman Campus in Selden. The play centers around a young security guard entangled in a local murder investigation.

Break Sk8, a roller skating dance crew known for its international performances and appearances in films and commercials, performs on April 5 at the Van Nostrand Theatre.

The musical "Priscilla, Queen of The Desert," directed by Mary Seymour, will be performed from April 17 to April 27 at Shea Theatre in the Islip Arts Building. Based on the hit movie, it follows three friends on an adventure through Australia.

The season concludes with free student concerts open to the public on May 8 and May 9 at the Ammerman Campus.
