Congressman Nick LaLota, representing New York's 1st District since 2023, has been active on social media, sharing updates about his work and initiatives. His recent tweets highlight efforts in combating identity theft, recognizing local talent, and supporting veterans.

On January 31, 2025, Congressman LaLota addressed the issue of identity theft. He stated: "Far too often, identity theft turns lives upside down. That’s why my office works tirelessly to help Long Islanders like you cut through the red tape, just as we did for Vernon with two fraudulent SBA loans taken out in his name." This message was shared during Identity Theft Awareness Week.

The following day, February 1, 2025, he congratulated a local student for their achievement in technology. He tweeted: "Congrats to our district's winner of the Congressional App Challenge, Heng Ye from Smithtown High School West. Heng rebuilt a train driving simulator to include both the hardware and software of the simulator." The project is showcased at the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum.

On February 2, 2025, Congressman LaLota reaffirmed his commitment to veterans' welfare. He posted: "I will always fight for the men and women who served us first. If you’re a Veteran facing challenges with VA claims or benefits, my office is here to help." He encouraged veterans needing assistance to contact his office directly.
