Congressman Nick LaLota, representing New York's 1st district since 2023, shared a series of tweets on March 5, 2025, addressing key issues such as public safety, border security, and energy policy. LaLota succeeded Lee Zeldin in Congress and resides in Amityville.

On March 5, Congressman LaLota expressed his support for law enforcement by hosting Suffolk Police Union President Lou Civello at the Capitol during the President’s joint address. He stated: "Honored to host Suffolk Police Union President Lou Civello at the Capitol for the President’s joint address. We stand with our Officers and remain committed to public safety—key priorities on President Trump’s agenda!"

Later that day, he highlighted the impact of policies from the Trump administration on immigration control. In his tweet, he mentioned: "Trump-era policies = illegal crossings at an all-time low, ICE arrests up 600%, and migrant shelters closing. On our way to making our border secure and neighborhoods safe again!"

In another tweet posted shortly after, LaLota emphasized America's potential in energy resources. He wrote: "We have great reserves of energy in America, and it’s time we safely and cleanly extract them to gain back our energy dominance. The Alaska natural gas pipeline is just one of many projects that I will support in Congress."
