On March 5, 2025, Congressman LaLota expressed his support for bipartisan initiatives aimed at enhancing border security and urban safety. He emphasized the significant impact of electing a new president in achieving these goals. "I’m proud to support multiple bipartisan initiatives in Congress to secure our border and our cities, but the data shows the biggest impact was made by electing a NEW PRESIDENT."

Later that day, LaLota commented on an event during the President's Joint Address where a young man was informed of his acceptance to West Point while millions watched. He described this moment as an honor akin to notifying service academy nominees about their appointments. "I always considered it an honor to call my service academy nominees about their appointments.
