Suffolk County Police Department First Precinct Anti-Crime Unit officers responded to a 911 call for shots fired in the area of Herzel Boulevard in West Babylon last month.
The officers conducted an investigation and located several individuals by a vehicle in a known gang location in the vicinity. Four people were arrested and two handguns were seized.
Sgt. Lomangino and Officers Gennaro, Garcia, and Kahveci were recently presented with Command Performance Review Awards for their work on this case.
