Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Michael Loguercio have announced the completion of two paving projects in Ridge, New York.

The first project involved resurfacing 14 roadways in a neighborhood south of Route 25 and west of William Floyd Parkway. Before paving, crews inspected and repaired over 50 drains and replaced damaged concrete aprons and curbing. The roads resurfaced include Cornfield Road, Cross Road, Eagle Drive, Giant Oak Drive, Giant Oak Road, Medford Road, Old Orchard Lane, Peconic Road, Pond Lane, an 80-foot portion of Randall Road just north of Route 25, Red Maple Road, Ruth Lane, Sally Lane, and Wildwood Road. The total cost for this project was approximately $1.1 million.

In the second project, crews inspected and installed drains and repaired nearly 2,600 linear feet of damaged concrete and stone curbing along with more than 3,300 square feet of aprons before resurfacing Dover Circle, Hampton Way, Marc Drive and West Court. This project's total cost was about $484,000.

“Our 2024 paving season is progressing nicely,” said Brookhaven Highway Superintendent Daniel Losquadro. “We are improving infrastructure and making our streets safer for motorists and pedestrians one neighborhood at a time.”

Councilman Loguercio added: “Safety first is always paramount, and that includes our roadways throughout the entire Town of Brookhaven. Thank you to Highway Superintendent Dan Losquadro and the entire Highway Department for all you do to keep our roads in top shape.”
