Recently, Irene Minicozzi visited Town Hall to collect a prize on behalf of her daughter, Melissa Carretto. Carretto was one of six winners in the Town of Brookhaven's "Brookhaven Recycles Day" Compost Tumbler Giveaway. The event took place in Council District 4.
Councilman Michael Loguercio was present during the prize collection. The contest was conducted online via Facebook, where participants pledged to recycle for a chance to win. A winner was chosen from each Town Council District.
