Northwell Health celebrated the birth of its first baby of 2025 at Huntington Hospital. The newborn arrived at 12:10 a.m. on January 1, 2025.
The parents, Meryum Ali and Ashfaq Khan, welcomed their daughter after nearly ten hours of labor. The baby girl weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces and was 21 inches long. The family hails from North Babylon, Long Island.
“We are so excited our baby is healthy, but this makes it just a little more special,” expressed Khan.
This marks the couple's second child as newborn Gulbano Khan joins her older brother at home.
