Stony Brook Children’s Hospital has been recognized as a finalist for the Long Island Imagine Award in the Social Impact category. This nomination acknowledges its efforts to deliver top-tier medical care to underserved communities.
The award ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Crest Hollow Country Club. The Long Island Imagine Awards, established by Ken Cerini of Cerini & Associates LLP, aims to highlight and foster collaboration within the nonprofit sector.
Stony Brook Children’s Hospital stands among four finalists in its category. Nearly 200 nonprofit organizations submitted applications across six categories: Arts & Culture, Innovation, Leadership Excellence, Rising Star, Social Impact, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA).
The hospital serves as Suffolk County's sole children’s hospital and caters to 320,000 children under 18. It boasts a team of 180 pediatric physicians specializing in 30 areas and offers advanced facilities designed to be child-friendly while supporting patients and families. Stony Brook Children’s Hospital is part of Stony Brook Medicine which combines education, research, and patient care initiatives from Stony Brook University.
