On January 21, Brookhaven Town Clerk Kevin LaValle visited the Port Jefferson Free Public Library as part of his 2025 Mobile Office Tour. This initiative aims to provide residents with easier access to town services and information. While privacy laws prevent the issuance of permits and certificates during these mobile hours, Clerk LaValle can help residents begin the application process.

The Clerk's office offers various services such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, parking permits for persons with disabilities, amusement permits, and special event permits. The Port Jefferson Free Public Library was the first location on this year's library tour. The next stop is scheduled at the North Shore Public Library in Shoreham on February 13 from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Town Clerk Kevin LaValle expressed his appreciation for these events by stating, “It’s always a pleasure to host mobile hours at the various libraries across the town. Each library has its own unique character, offering a special atmosphere that reflects the community it serves." He emphasized that these visits enable him to connect with residents and bring town services directly to them.

Residents seeking more information about library events can visit https://portjefflibrary.org/. Details about Brookhaven Town Clerk's office services are available on their website or by contacting them via email or phone.
